Many years ago I stabbed myself in the meaty part of my thumb and opened up a good sized gash. After trying to stop the bleeding multiple times with bandaids, gauze and tape, I resorted to duct tape and that did an outstanding job 
probably wouldn’t pass as acceptable treatment if I did that to someone else at work though

duct tape makes for a killer bandaid! Just fold up some toilet paper and tape that sucker! I do this at least once a week…the downside to always working with razor knives and every type of saw you can imagine….
The tape is just so bulky I don’t think I can fret with it taped like that! I got some superglue at home, hope it can handle some slides!

One of my hobbies used to be straight razors. Some amazing cuts from that. No notable scars though, almost disappointing really
