I’ve seen that with golf clubs before. Like it better with basses.
An hour and half of Dany Sapko. Perfect!
I do love that occasionally he will pilot KLM flights for fun and do the “Good morning, this is your captain” speech on the intercom with “Hello my subjects and esteemed visitors. This is your King.”
OK, somebody has to say it:
That’s purr-fect. ![]()
Etsy site for those (and more) pick guards is here if you’re interested.
My favorite Nick Mason quote:
A band is essentially a drummer and a bassist, plus assorted novelty acts.
i’ve told you about him before, my friend Steve Silver (long time Chicago doorman and author) usually has a fun story to tell. this was on his FB page this morning, thought you guys would like it. Joe owns Cabaret Metro, a legendary music venue in Wrigleyville.
"Watching the hall of fame thingy , and remembering Soundgarden playing Metro right before they got huge, and Kim Thayil asking me to take him to talk with Joe Shanahan at sound check , thinking it was going to be some ridiculous “Rock Star” kind of demand , and he just wanted to add way more people to the guest list than normal , Joe asks him how many and he got sort of embarrassed and says “ like thirty people” and Joe was about to say no, but asked him why so many , and Kim goes, “I grew up here and I have a ton of family and I just wanted to make it kind of a big deal” and Joe instantly looks at me and says “ write down every name he gives you add a plus one to it , and get them drink tickets too”
So , I spent thirty minutes making the Thayil family guest list with Kim and he was so fucking impressed with the way Joe and the staff at Metro treated him, he was giddy like a little kid all night
I’m pretty sure Nick Miller was handling the band that night and kept telling him, “ yeah dude, it’s Chicago, that’s how we do it”
Katana, a highly overrated, overpriced, excessively thick and heavy, sharpened steel bar for hitting unarmored peasants with.

Seriously, good to see you around again.
