A super nerdy dive on string spacing

Of COURSE you have a Modulus Quatum Sweet Spot 5 string.
Of course.
Amazing.

What year is youor bass? You have a switch and a 4th knob that I don’t have, as well as the string tree, a different pickup and a different logo.
I am very intrigued.

And this might not be on topic.
I’ll take my answer off the air.
Or as a message.
Or as a dedicated Modulus thread.

I had enough self control not to tell you my favorite pasta sauce… but not enough to stop myself from writing this post.

Hey @Gio sorry I was looking for this video. The bass is early 90s it’s a 3 band EQ with volume knob as well as a push/pull passive/active. The switch is to split the north and south coils. They don’t make them like the used to anymore. This Bartolini is in line with the classic EMG like ones in Skylar’s Frankenstein bass, very cool tone. This Quantum 5 is also a 35” scale.

It’s from a pro who’s on Johnny Carson show. Here he played with a debut artist, :joy:
I’ll say this though I don’t hate this at all.

I was going to swap the electronics out and put either the Fluence or the Delano Xtender but one I played it it’s everything’s changed. The frets are super super low I first thought was that it’s worn down but no since (they believe) that the graphite neck is so stable you can have it set super low. There’s no truss rod. Super cool.

This has all been very helpful, I’m well on my way to by next bass

My take on the Stingray, which means: neck through, headless, and 30"

the pickup will be in a “normal spot” I just haven’t worked out the scratch plate drawing yet.

and the over hangs will be larger. They’re small here because I’m going to try a bound fret board. I’m programing the CNC 1/16 small on each side to accommodate the bit I’m going to glue on.
