The rumours are true, Howard’s powers are strong! (I can’t travel to Japan, unfortunately, so I think I’m safe. I still only have 2 basses, as unbelievable as it sounds).
I think the plum detachment risk resides on not asking first, so it is okay to assume you are safe.

Nothing wrong with either but you already have the MIA and Fender Japan makes stuff that is better in some ways. I like them better for the ones I have played and owned.

It’s actually at a solid midrange price for here, the exchange rate is just insane right now
The one nit that I have to pick with them is that I’m not a big fan of the pick guard. That blue is beautiful though.
Yeah I don’t dig the Rickenbacker shape there either, but love everything else about them. It’s high up there on my “might buy someday” list

I’ve been looking on the UK Fender site and, much to my surprise, that MIJ Fender is available here, exact same colour, everything. It runs £1,449 (US$ 1,945, ¥315,000)! It’s half that price at Taniguchi!
I think I might just have to do it. Be rude not to.
Actually they do make lefties but I have never seen that one
Taniguchi have a couple FGN lefties, four and five string, very reasonably priced, but they said they’d never seen a twin P pup bass before.
