Was watching a YouTube video about sounds on Mars. Due to the make up of Mars’s atmosphere, higher pitched sounds are muffled, but bass is pronounced.
Wouldn’t you love to be the first bassist on Mars??? You’d be able to tell your lead guitarist to just sit down and put his axe away because no one would hear it anyway!!! Haha!!

Not the makeup exactly just that the pressure is so low sound isn’t transmitted as well - less air molecules to vibrate. Low sounds carry better due the longer wave. I imagine a bass would sound different at 30,000 feet.

Something to do with the 95% carbon dioxide of the atmosphere that muffles higher pitches like bird whistles and the such.
So that’s where that guy went.
