Looked familiar. They were supposed to be most awesome. I had a Pedulla XJS guitar built to mate with synths of the time. It was heavy as hell but sounded great with Bartolini pickups. I never had the synth that would allow it to be it’s best. Sold it to a Doctor in Wisconsin.

I don’t doubt they are fine basses. And I bet they are heavy. That’s what a lot of luthiers used to do quite a bit. Every custom I’ve held has taken some serious muscle to wrangle.

I’ve done some tripping, and with that i’d just talk to it like a small dog… “Who’s a pretty girl? You’re the pretty girl. Yes you are!”
I honestly don’t know how anyone could play in that state. I’d get fixated on watching my fingers move and lose the line, guaranteed. Might come up with some wildly expressive freeform stuff, tho.

I played one of these at a nearby Guitar Center. Let’s just say you would only get it because you really like the kitschy look. But it is definitely a unique look.

I have nothing against LED fret markers, but the combination of the different colors and the transparent body is a bit too much for me. Doesn’t matter, to each their own! If we all liked the same things, we’d probably all be playing Fender Precision basses
