It makes me wonder what they did underneath.

Damn! That’s suh-weet! Not a fiver guy, but it is beautiful. I wonder if they offer it as a 4.

Yes, I have been eyeing the HH, but only for sale on their website. I have learned to not buy basses online without knowing their weight :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s gonna be as light almost as your bfr. Maybe 9lbs. Maybe 9.5lbs.

I am not much of a 5 string guy, but that’s a sexy Stingray.

I usually don’t like 5 string Stingrays cuz I don’t like the single PC pickguard / control panel, but with no pickguard, it keeps the Stingray look to me
I love it, if I was to get a 5 string music man, it would be either a Sterling, or a Stingray that does not use a pickguard, that’s for sure.

I never tried a bongo, and I am not a huge fan, but that could easily change if I ever picked one up for a noodle

New member here, just got this bass over the summer. Short-scale Music Man Stingray from the spring 2022 Ball Family Reserve collection. It’s called the Bombshell. When I saw the tortoise shell binding around the neck and the block inlays I just had to have it. To my delight it plays as good as it looks. The block inlays have nice depth and look like fire when the light hits them right.

Welcome, @Blastoplast.

Beautiful BFR. Love it.

You might want to go to the Introduce Yourself! (2018-2022) thread and meet the gang. They’re waiting to welcome you.

I have to say, as a die hard Tortoise hater, that that bass looks mighty fine.
Leave it to music man to figure out a good use for tort after all

This doesn’t make me a tort fan, just more of a EBNM fab boy :+1::+1:

Yeah it’s funny, I’m not a huge tortoise shell guy either. Particularly on pick guards. But something about using it as neck binding and those big block inlays were just so novel. And so well executed.

There are some very adamant tort…dislikers…here, but not me.

While every body color and/or shape is someone’s fave or barf-inducer, we can all agree we love our basses.

My son loves his guitar, too…

Btw… Is tort the in another thread mentioned „salami barf“? I’m still trying to figure that out

Yes, that’s what some who don’t like tort call it.

I love my EBMM tort bass.

Love that one. I was going to pull the trigger on that one but it was not available at the time. I love the Tort binding and inlays. Well, I’m hoping my bass will be here next week, care to guess what it is? I dropped several hints already so it’s almost like cheating, lol.

Paging @T_dub , @MikeC , @Reasonably_Happy lol. Oh @AnotherJosh. Y’all should have pretty good guess.
