Is the meteora a vintage shape brought back or is that a new shape?
Meteora first appeared in 2018. They are very comfortable to play.
Yeah one of the Fenders I dig a lot.
Ah. I guess making a 35" 5 string meteora is just too modern for Fender, because those really look like what I’d think this is lined up to compete with. I guess they’re actually aiming for the music man audience? I am so not the target demographic for Fender even if I do kind of want a strat
i was confused as to what this line (American Ultra II) actually is, but it’s not just the meteora shown it the picture, they also have upgraded p and j basses and also a jazz 5. it’s basically just new preamp/pickups and better ergo’s it seems. and i think the expected price bump of course.
I’ve always found teles so much cooler. I don’t know why, they’ve always been associated as a country guitar.
I’m not a big Fender guy, but I looOOOooove the color and sparkle on that.
Yup, I don’t usually like pale blue basses but this one is purty.
I just want to, protect it.
We talked about the Meteora’s a lot when they first landed (or shortly thereafter). To me they look like Fender had a lot of Dimension parts left over and put them through a heat-warp or something… like you’d made them out of plastic and left them in the summer sun for a while.
Which, of course, makes them MusicMan-esque, as the Dimensions were very MusicMan-esque.
I might be biased, having just picked one of these up, and I’m also going against character, but I absolutely heart this bass so hard:
Albert Collins, one of the most famous bluesmen, has played a Tele for decades.
Springsteen does, too.
Many rockers have rocked a Tele, very much including Keith.
My brother, who - if he got past his self-confidence issues - could be a world-class guitarist, also sometimes plays a Tele.
Although lately he’s been raving about his Suhr that he got.
that’s blu’s new one, right? it’s beautiful. she’s so awesome.
yeah keith is my all time favorite musician. i say that about a lot of people. but it’s keith.
(and it’s a five string. so really it’s a bass.)
edit: i just recently read this about micawber, which might just be the most famous guitar in rock. cool article. also cool is in the main picture it hasn’t lost it’s eye yet (17th fret dot).
Yeah it is, I don’t really know who Blu is but the bass is pretty
@itsratso like this ?
nice. all black for the win. and damn that’s a lot of knobs.
That’s a whole lotta pups in some unusual placements.
