That’s one way to stop you looking at the fretboard. I think I’d get dizzy staring at that!
That pick guard has some badonka-donk curves
Pizza master, and an old Ampeg??
I’d be so happy eating pizza and listening to loud bass music.
You live a good life!
If I got a bass like that, I’d feel compelled to seek out that backdrop. They go together perfectly.
It’s a 1976 handcrafted custom with a price tag of $48,000.
But shipping is free, so it’s got that going for it.
I love on reverb that the first time they drop the price on things like this, it’s not like price drop 10% it’s like price drop $18,000 off
Well for $48K I’m definitely getting the curtains. I’d also request a gig bag and a months subscription to songster, just to mess with the seller
I think the guy’s got some wiggle room.
What bass is this? Can you share the specs? Amazing pickup layout…
@KitCrsn That was project number 15, made in my shed from Iroko and Beech. Loosely based on a Fender Meteora body, a Fender Jazzmaster headstock but a MusicMan tuner layout, and a Danelectro style pickguard. Passive pickups - split Precision, Music Man and Jazz (all of Leo Fenders best work), volume for each coil + master tone. Since the body is only 22mm thick the jack socket is an inverted Stratocaster. Super lightweight, with a 38mm nut width. 30" scale length. Picato flatwound strings.
i know someday that people will get pissed that i put non bass porn in the bass porn thread.
BUT THAT DAY IS NOT TODAY
(seriously, this is too cool not to show y’all)

Check the GAS thread from a few days ago…
But, yeah, very cool and good to have a pic in the post
woops my bad, didn’t see it
and 92 people have it in their cart, so not that pricey
Free shipping too, pretty good deal. I thought the mini history they listed was interesting. How it was stored away in the basement, parts thrown away, parts retrieved from the trash and eventually refurbished and reassembled over the course of a couple decades. I wonder if Paul or Ringo are on the list of bidders.
