Yeh, they have a SS in Ghost Pepper for sale in their vault, along with the Stingray Special or Classic, (whichever one they is the normal one on their site, I have a hard time keeping them all straight) which they just discontinued all the colors of the many cool colors that were available, and now they are waiting for NAMM to unveil the new colors, is what the speculation is, but they have popped up a few colors and took them off and then had a few on and took them off… (they now read discontinued color - contact Music Man for details)
They must be running in split personality mode with massive OCD over there at Music Man, getting ready for the show

I heard is going to be online this year, does that mean we all get to go?

They have 4 colors available on the website, in the vault.
a nice blue one, the gray one, ghost pepper, and a hot pink with black hardware if I remember correctly. It actually looked pretty cool.

I would still have a hard time paying for a EBMM SS.
After hearing the SBMM SS face off with the EBMM SS, I would probably buy the SBMM, and upgrade the pick up.

I just wish SBMM would come alive a little more with color options for certain models.

So nice though, I hadn’t seen these yet. Yep, not something I would get at this point (I’ve got the cheaper SBMM short scale). But some day they’re going to put out one with a flamed neck and a killer color and then…

My local bass shop posted this on FB today. Very local, as in 6 blocks away. The force is strong on this one.

Great bass, not a bad price for it either.

Rockbasses are inexpensive and good. I have owned two. You should just buy it

There are some amazing instruments there. Bass shop is inside a sick guitar shop (Thunder Road). The bass side has some great stuff. Some very historical Fenders, a lot of Lull’s (local here), tons of boutiques. See those hard cases lined up? That’s their prior owned bass backstock I think. They have 15-20 basses out front. A fair number of new instruments, in addition to boutiques, some new custom shops.

A lot of big used amps and cabs. I bought my first bass there (new MIM Vintera Mustang) last July. They got a mint and white EBMM a month or two ago. I don’t go inside there. I just started 6 month ago and already have 2 ( the Mustang and a Sterling Ray34 Natural w/ Roasted Mable). No fly zone for now. I did briefly consider trading into it, but I don’t think I’ll part with these first two.

I have the 2014 SLO special and I love it. the 1.5" nut width is what sells me on these EBMM. I loved playing my SBMM Ray4 first, it became my go to bass, and then I had a hard time switching to the Ray34 I have cuz it is 1.69" at the nut. it is not horrible, but I don’t like playing it as much. I will probably sell it and just keep my Ray4 and the Slo Special, and off the rest of the sterling rays that I collected so far. I am now going for the minimalist thing.
I got a lot of basses, and I found the ones that I love to play, and I found ones that I don’t like to play, and I will soon be down to 3 basses, my Ray4, the Slo Special and my ESP LTD B-4E.
The rest will go, except the wall art ones.
My Slayer Tom Araya LTD sig bass
and the Dean Metalman tribute to Dimebag, but those are just wall art for my enjoyment.

If you want a a Stingray with a 1.5" nut width, and you want an EBMM, and don’t want have to go down to a Sterling By Music Man Ray4 or Ray24 (both damn fine instruments, but it depends which you want as far as for. your personal collection) this looks like a damn good deal.

I like the speed blue.
All the colors from the black to the Snowynight won’t be available until April 20th
Hmmmmmmm. 4/20. Hmmmmmmmmm
the rest are discontinued colors, but you can still purchase most of them online.

I also like the cliff Williams model

Yea, Definitely thought of you @T_dub when I saw this. I considered it briefly… but I bought my #2 (Sterling Ray34 in natural/roasted maple) only a few months ago. I don’t dare go play it lol

Yeah, as long as you are happy with the wide neck, it is fine, it is a great bass. I mean it is not like a P bass almost 2" at the nut, but that .19" does make a difference when you have both and play between them. One reason I bought this SLO when I could. White is not my favorite color for basses, but I saw the deal and grabbed it, and now I have the option to sell the Ray34, which is a 2010, and it is the honey flame maple, it is awesome looking, way more to look at then the SLO Special, but I like to play the SLO much better.

Good place to be, have some really nice basses, I paid nowhere near what they go for used, and I can advertise them for the price I want, and wait til they sell. I wont be in a hurry to sell, and will hold pretty firm on prie, and I will end up turning a little profit, or basically getting back the money I spent on the SLO. LOL
And when I do this to about 4 other basses, then I will have ended up turning a profit on all the basses I have bought and sold over the year.

But thats the fun part, I can start over and start looking into ricks and those good year Fender / squire’s that are worth more then they sell for usually, always a good deal out there, once I find it, then play with it for a while and then sell it off and make a little coin on the side. I have made a profit on every bass I have sold so far, as much as $350 on one deal.

its a fun hobby, just don’t want to let it get too in the way of my playing bass. But I want to find a few sterling Ray4’ that sell cheap (they show up all the time on offer up) and get it for $125 or something, and trik it out like the lobster guy on the youtube channel does.
