The Ori name is an intentional nod to Japanese origami, hence, the distinct edges in the body sculpting. It’s not for everyone, but that’s fine. It’s a successful model, and business is good. ![]()
It’s fine @MikeC I think it looks like a Temu Lego bass but no matter.
It’s not my fave Mayones model either, but it’s all good.
Props to the shop for expanding their design palette to meet a market demand.
I think these are super-cool looking basses!
They really are. If I find myself in a position to drop that kind of cheddar on an instrument, it’d be a strong contender.
Speaking of Mayones Jabba basses, here’s a new custom build available from Bass Freaks in Belgium for a cool €4,548.00. I’m not the biggest fan of white basses, but this one’s gorgeous.

You can probably negotiate Pierre a bit down on this one… I got mine a bit cheaper at Zjon’s.
You are the undisputed Mayones Jabba HF models champeen, brother! ![]()
How about posting pics of the current state of your Mayones stable? Hmm?
![]()
Yeah… I should probably do that ![]()
I totally agree.
My Jabba Custom Federico Malaman Signature Mala 4 has a dark Pau Ferro fretboard and pearloid block inlays. I love this bass. Photos don’t do its visual effect justice.
You can buy your very own…
Here’s a gorgeous Dingwall!
At first glance, I thought it was a hide ![]()
Tonehide, baby!
What animal’s hide gives the best sustain?
I’d guess either walrus or wombat rump.
That’s lovely!!
Oh, that is nice!
