I think the position comes with the ceremony

Mines the opposite although she preferred things when I sold the Nightrod I had for the relatively more sedate Softail :joy:

I have floated this idea before. “So, what if I gave up sportbikes for nice, sedate cruisers?”

No dice

It’s not so much the worry of what you might do, it’s the actions of so many other idiots on the road I think sometimes. I mean I’m always sensible and law abiding on my motorcycle. Honest :joy:

That was literally it in the Bay Area. And to be fair I did have numerous car-initiated scares there, including one person that ran a red light and hit me. While she was fleeing from the police. And I actually felt bad for her at the time because I supported her cause - the cops were chasing them for defying the mayor’s order to not feed the homeless. Cute too, I was young and single at the time, and should have tried to get their number, but I was being looked at by paramedics who were busy laughing about it all. Cops were cracking up too. Limped away with just a sprained ankle, super lucky.

Anyway, like I said, no dice, even with cruisers.

For flying, I also tried to weasel a multi-engine rating out of this, on the hope that two engines would make the wife feel better about the airplane. No dice, she hates small planes in general

I’ve not ridden for a good while now as my head isn’t in the right place and I had begun to take way too many risks but I will get back on again one day. It’s too much of a part of me to give up.
It’s taken me 2 years and my wife breaking her leg for me to get back behind the wheel of a car. I hate it too.
Anyway to put the thread back on track………

Man. It’s just hard to beat them for wood on basses.

Grassroots (ESP budget line) F-series lefty. You don’t see THAT every day. About $120 USD used. Really cool entry level instrument.

I’ve always liked the F-series. The LTD and ESP models look fantastic in natural wood:

Speaking of LTD, there’s now a Stream available in the US as the John Campbell signature model:

Absolutely love the Streams.

Oh that stream shape reminds me of a thunderbird. Really really nice… Thanks for posting this one Howard!

I wish I could ride something like that, @howard . . .

Me too!

Yeah like a really cool retro-Jetsons T-bird. I love them in red:

Apparently discontinued now :frowning:

I’m not the biggest fan of basses with tuning keys on the treble side of the headstock @howard, but in this case, I think I’d make an exception

Really nice color, too!

Cheers

They spelled Fender incorrectly on the head stock, probably some knock off I guess :sunglasses:

Not for $2695

Kind of a dopey name in the guitar/bass game though.

There are so many things about this bass I would never choose.

Red. Meh.
Gold Hardware. Ech.
Block inlays. Not my preference.
Single tuner on the treble side. Not a fan.
Clear pick guard. I don’t get it.

But… DAMN! This bass is absolutely beautiful. I don’t even need to play it. I just want it to hang on the wall in my home as amazing art. It’s stunning. The single coolest whale bass around.

That’s really too bad. Easily the best looking one.

They actually discontinued the entire Stream line, except the LTD signature edition!
