I don’t use mine a ton, as I usually just play through my Katana 210 Bass in my home office. I use the Katana:GO when in the basement playing with my son on drums and use the USB port to record to the HTPC we have set up down there. I did find a pretty good approximation for the tone from Seven Nation Army, though, that made playing that really fun.

Congratulations on starting your foray into the low end! Looks like a good start on gear. Have fun with it! If you plan on taking it anywhere (to a shop for a setup, or lessons, jam with others, etc) you might want to get a gig bag or case also. I wasn’t seeing anything on that specific bass that says it comes with one, but I could be wrong.
That said, while waiting for it to arrive, watch some videos on setting up your bass. BassBuzz’s own Josh has a good one, as do many others. I think the ones from StewMac and Sadowsky probably helped me the most and I saw them before Josh’s but there are a ton of good ones out there. The setup may or may not be decent as is, but manufacturers usually ship with the action set a bit high so as to avoid fret buzz right off the bat and people returning the instrument thinking it’s bad when something as simple as climate changes between the warehouse and shipping destination could affect it. It’s wood, after all, and subject to changes in humidity. It’s common to adjust the truss rod a couple times a year as the weather changes. Don’t be afraid of it, just small (like quarter turns or less) adjustments and checking.

Just to echo this. I never saw the use for a case, except maybe to put band stickers on 
I saw some of my musician friends have or at least had cases for their guitars and basses.

They’re cumbersome but okay if you have a car with a big trunk… Certainly not if you take public transport
You are right man, but they travelled with those cases by public transport aswell.
15 years ago I was a tour manager/roadie/sometimes soundguy for my friends’ band - we gigged extensively across the country and both guitarists had cases for their instruments (we sometimes drove to the town where we had a gig, sometimes traveled by train, sometimes hired a van). Later, when that line-up dissolved, founding guitarist, who tried to assemble new line-up, switched to the gigbag.
