BassBuzz YouTube Video Guide

Is there a way to add closed captioning to the lesson videos? I’m signed up for the course and practice late at night and have headphones to the amp on so can’t wear iPad phones at the same time.

If you had a laptop and a DAI… that would fix everything… then all audio in and out could pass through the DAI, and ultimately the 1 set of phones.

Edit: I checked the lesson vid settings… I don’t think you can enable captions on them sadly.

You mentioned an Ipad @dougheminger … maybe there is an app solution? Like from the search above?

The way that many have solved this is by using a headphone amp such as the Katana Go.

It plugs directly into your bass, and your headphones plug into it. So you hear your bass directly. Then you can connect it via Bluetooth to your iPad (or phone, or computer, or whatever) and play the audio through this Bluetooth connection.

Bottom line, everything is in your headphones and you can practice quietly. Works the same way for playing along with songs too.

Zoom devices like the B1 Four are great for this too (plus a whole lot of other things).

Of course, if your amp had an aux-in, you could connect a cable from your iPad to your amp, then just listen as you normally do with headphones connected to the amp.

Good point! This would only require an audio cable to connect the iPad to the amp.

That’s the winner! Thank you all so much!

Anyone know if there’s a Noteflight widget (tab player used on the 50 first songs page) for this lesson? Didn’t see one in the PDF for the routine or the vid description.

No, Josh only does the PDF’s for his YouTube videos.

That’s kinda what I figured, just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing a secret stash of playable transcriptions for these.

I have been so busy with life stuff, I haven’t even seen his last two videos.
