Best Bass to Use Post Back Surgery

sadly the CNZ bass isn’t able to ship to my location. So it’s between the Mikro and probably the bronco. Either one would probably work for just some garage jamming with my buddies. The purple mikro does look pretty sweet if you ask me

Squier do a short scale (28.6”) cheap mini P bass FYI

If you’ve got a bigger wallet then Fender do made in Japan Mini Jazz and P Bass (30”)

These are adorable in person. ESP also has their mini versions of the line for BanG Dream, scaled down to 28” from the full 34” scale instruments. They are ridiculously cute little instruments.

Oh yeah I saw that pink SG type when I was in Japan.

Really cool.

It’s pity that the Harley Benton JB-62CC Mini seems not to be available anymore.

It#s a cute little bass:

Harley Benton JB-62CC Mini - watch at 3:04 if you don’t understand polish!

EDIT It’s available again: Harley Benton JB-62CC Mini SFG – Musikhaus Thomann

Another great alternative is the Blackstar Carry On ST-Bass, quite on the smaller side, it’s lightweight and with the right strap it might fit well.

Also, welcome to the forum @Blake!

You could also try to just play sitting, as long you have a bass that sits nice together with you. In that case you could pick any fender/squier model, as they have this nice curve. There are also others with that same curve, but I’m a squier fanboi

Maybe you could also get one of those drum thrones/chairs with added back support?

Sad to hear. I was considering trading my smol bass for that one!

Hi Blake,

Welcome to the forum.

I had major abdominal surgery recently. I was not allowed to lift anything heavy for a while. I bought an amazing U Bass that I still play and even use for gigs sometimes - attracting a lot of attention from other musicians on open mic nights. It is made under licence to Fender and looks like one of their basses that has been through a hot wash!:joy: It looks really cool and sounds pretty good when amplified. https://uk.fender.com/products/fullerton-precision-bass-uke

You might consider an acoustic. They are typically much lighter than solid bodies. I know everyone knocks them but pretty much all of them have pickups nowadays and they sound fine threw an amp.

Alternatively just stick to playing sitting for a while; no weight on your shoulder that way.
