I’ve got a nordymute arriving Monday. I am looking forward to trying it out. My favorite tones are of the old school type and I also use flatwound strings on my bass.

Some folks note that this has some uneven muting due to being “sprung” on one end. A trip to the paint/hardware store for a foam paintbrush you can cut up is another option to try, like this…

I guess I’ll find out if it works for me when it arrives. If not, I may play around with other possibilities.
