Budget fuzz pedal advice?

Thanks for the response.

So what’s normal level?

I need more specifics. I can describe what amp I’m using if that would help.

What I meant was that if your bass in general can be played at a given level without harming your amp, then fuzz will be fine there too

Alright then! Thanks!

Not at all in the Big Muff* family but the Behringer SF300 is a great fuzz for 27€ new. It’s a copy of the great Boss FZ-2, used for example by Electric Wizard. Those guys are the kings of fuzz.

(*) : speaking about Big Muff … I compared all my bass distorsions/fuzz today and the Deluxe Bass Big Muff is the one I really don’t like. I plan to sell it or trade it very soon.

I agree on everything you said. I’ve been playing with the pedal some time now and it really sounds good. Construction is far from sturdy but for home or maybe studio use is ok.

What don’t you like about deluxe bass muff? So many options on that one…

Oh yes, it doesn’t lack any option, and it’s really designed for the bass players. It works really well. The only thing I don’t like is that it’s a Big Muff … I think it’s not at all the saturated tone that I want.

I see. You sold it?

not yet but I will
