What year was that? Two years ago, we had some awful fires just south of Arcachon. Many of the camp grounds just south of the Dune du Pyla turned to ash. Wiped out their entire summer (July and August) season. The view of the destruction from the top of the dune was heartbreaking. Fortunately, the beautiful forests further south in the Landes département were spared.
Before I started learning bass, I was into electronic music (almost) only.
So you could find me at every cool underground house, techno, electro etc, party/festival/event in the Bermuda triangle between Cologne, Hamburg and Holland.
But no event with “Gitarrengeschrabbel”.
My girlfriend was at Wacken and all those other festivals though. She is a punk/rock chick and always liked “real” music, where people play instruments and don’t push buttons only … and actually sing to it
I might go to the Hurricane festival this year … it’s not far too, less commercial and has more variety!
PS Hamburg is overrated. It’s boring as hell! Not as boring as Munich, but a little more boring than Zürich…
Well, dang… when I signed up for BassBuzz, I used the first part of my email address as username, which is, in fact, my real name.
Can I call my marker anything I want??
The Saharan Desert sands! I remember that year. The orange skies made it all the way up to Arcachon, and I don’t know how much further north. I had to sweep the superfine sand off of my car.
