We really needed our own NHL team but the Winter Hawks were a fun watch growing up. (they are a feeder team for the Chicago Blackhawks.)

We’re lucky to have both an NHL team (the Flames) and a minor team, the Hitmen.
But I’m still a Winnipeg Jets fan.
I’ve also been playing beer league hockey as well. Lucky to live in a city with oodles of arenas and multi-division leagues to play in.

I haven’t played in shoot, 13ish years now. I was stationed at a NATO base in Italy in the early 00’s. We had a club league on base and my D partner was always a guy from Ontario. We were the best D pair in the league but a few of the Czech players were in the pipeline to go pro, it got silly trying to stop them.

Teddy Bear Toss isn’t specific to the Winterhawks. Lots of junior and college teams do it.

Our AHL team up in Loveland (Colorado Eagles) have done teddy bear tosses before too.
