DISCLAIMER That said, I did buy new strings, of course. But for different reasons. Itâs the Thomastik Infeld Jazz Flats, which I put on every (official) bass. They play smoothly and sound absolutely great. Also, theyâre supposed to be very durable, so my green heart is happy.
I did clean all other strings with the ultrasonic cleaner, so I can give them away to the needy, or have some spares, just in case!
Yeah, I read that even school girl underwear is being recycled in Japan ⌠and sold in vending machines for very high prices. You canât be more sustainable than that, I agree!
Very very cool!
I was thinking of organizing a local group that focusses on waste reduction by making it hipster-cool.
âMottainaiâ would be an excellent name for that, thanks!

What a cool logo!
EDIT My girlfriend just told me about âKintsugiâ, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage with urushi lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.

She really wants to do that with some art objects we have and were broken due to both our clumsiness.
Yes I get the idea of not wanting to waste them. Recycling is also an option, metal recycling may be a good route. Also if there is a local Assassinâs Guild, these might make nice garrotes for them?
