I saw Simple Minds open for the Pretenders back in the 80s. I have a lot of respect for Chrissie. She always did things her way.

Don’t get me wrong - I really like (some) of the Pretenders!
I play songs of them all the time, especially as my girlfriend loves Chrissie 
But: Jim Kerr should not have married her!
I pay little attention to such things.

Well, correlation is not causality. Simple Minds might have gotten worse, independent of Jim Kerr and Chrissie Hynde getting together ^^
