Shouldn’t that song have been in 6?
This is not necessarily my favourite drummer, but he’s awesome and so damn funny too! Steve Moore, also known as The Mad Drummer. This is one of his funniest videos. In it he acts like he is “trying to behave” and making faces behind the guitarist’s back, who is keeping watch on him.
Steve seems to be a comedian and a juggler, and he manages to do all that while playing. People go to watch the band’s gigs to see the drummer!
Ringo, Neal Smith, Carl Palmer, Mick Woodmansey.
Joe Morello
Just look at the rhythms he plays on Time Out.
And don’t forget TR-808
.
Yeah I already called out Doktor Avalanche, who was an 808 in one incarnation. Also a 909 and a 606.
You win.
Definitely Bonham. Outstanding technique for leaving space. More about what he left out at the right time.
Adrian Young (No Doubt) also had great technique foe leaving space to fill by the listener.
So many great drummers and midi rhythms.
. I guess I’m just showing my age.
Freight Train Trucks with Jaimoe and Quinones close behind
Carter Beauford. Saw DMB a few years ago and that man was having the time of his life the whole time.
Dave Lombardo
Brian Viglione
Lars Ulrich
Nicko McBrain is probably one of my favorites. Too many to list.
Derp. I forgot again. My favorite drummers are also @Paul_9207 and @joergkutter
Mikkey Dee
aww yeah that’s what i’m talking about
Lars is awesome!
I forgot to add Sly Dunbar to my list. Sly and Robbie (Shakespeare) were maybe the best reggae rhythm section ever.
Peter Criss was pretty good back in the day.
I do not care what anyone says, drummers have different brains than anyone else. Playing four different (5 if vocals) parts is beyond amazing and unfortunately, they seem to lose it as they get old. Not all, most.
