Some AI implementation failures and successes
In the late ‘90s, I spent over two years on a Six Sigma consulting gig at Citibank (mostly on the consumer bank side, but some on the commercial bank side, too). John Reid was a brilliant CEO who I respected a lot. The merger with Travelers happened during that time. John retired and Sandy Weill (the Travelers’ CEO) took the top spot. And drove Citi down. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Jamie Dimon’s rise after Sandy fired him for firing his daughter.
