I’m a noob, so apologies if I butcher terminology.
Has anyone ever seen a 5 string precision bass with a set of split/offset pickups and a second set of straight dual pickups?
I presume they would have separate volume/tone controls.

Maybe what I need is some tips on search words or site to check.

Any (weird) combination of strings, pickups, and control electronics that you can possibly think of… someone else has already though about them too (and likely built them)

If you want to find more like that, do a search for “5 String PJ bass”.
The pickup configuration is PJ style (Precision + Jazz).
