Finally finished the full interview. That was not what I expected. I keep forgetting how much of a philosophical artist Flea is. His influences are crazy.
(No spoiler) Talking about his current major project at the end was deeply emotional.
I am not really a RHCP fan but do enjoy Beato’s in depth interviews.
I have not watched this one… perhaps if I do, I might gain abetter appreciation for the band and the musician. I do know that Balzary has a wide following for his bass musicianship.
I love that he and Frusciante took a year off in the late '90s just to tour a Joy Division cover set.

Damn that’s a solid version of Disorder, I’d forgotten. Sounds weird on a Jazz but works.

That happens so me all the time-SBL has a recent vid out about Radiohead, a band I’m not the into-but damn does Colin Greenwood have some tasty bass lines and now I’m listening to them lol.

I don’t care for that version tbh. It sounded weird in a bad way. Everything else sounded rad, especially that version She’s Lost Control.

The Jazz just is not the right bass for it, yeah. The rest was solid though.
