Four fingered aspiring bassist needs advice!

It’s like typing. I grew up learning 10 finger pumping style in 2 languages. Iphone typing taught me to type at a decent speed with 2 thumps and iPad expand that to 5-6 finger typing, that skill’s transfer to the manual keyboard.

I found myself blasting away with my index/ middle and thumb on each hand, lol.

If I find myself in a similar situation and I can’t properly bend one of my finger I may stick a slide on that finger and explore the possibility of using slide on the bass. It will be very unique.

I’ve watched some YouTube videos where accomplished great bass players only used one finger to fret. You can play whatever makes you feel comfortable and able to play what you want.
