Nice! I really like the Rascal.
Believe it or not I just GASsed me up some furniture
I’ve been wanting a real studio desk for a long long time. My studio space sucks bad and this will help a lot. My mixer can fit next to me (finally). Easy access to my MIDI keyboard (finally). Swivelpads for my monitors. A place for my 'phones (both of them!). Shit, it has 12U of rack space, I will have to think creatively there.
@JerryP - the points helped a lot here, thanks again.
Ah, yes, been thinking about such a piece of furniture also. It’s just that these are… kinda ugly
Access to a MIDI keyboard would be the main driver for me… perhaps I can find another solution with just adding a sliding drawer
My pleasure, Howard. Glad you could put them to good use.
Yes me too however, I have yet to find anything as versitle (and el cheapo) as IKEA’s tabletop/leg/drawer systems.
I got 2 of these and connected together. Got it when it was on sale for $40 each. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=625919
Now I am going to GAS stuff to put in the racks.
If you have 13U of space, you could cram this in there CANFORD FRIDGE Rackmount 13U, black
See thats the gear bands really need. Beer is band fuel.
Well it’s a lovely bass BUT man the neck dive is something I just can’t deal with.
Maybe it’s a Mustang thing? So back to the store it goes.
I guess I’m just a P Bass kind of guy
The one I’ve been playing is the same. The body is so light that the balance is not great. It stills lives at the store but I haven’t written it off yet.
I would think a strap could fix this issue? I haven’t tested that theory though…
Yeah it was ok with my Gruv Neo strap standing up but sitting down I was fighting it.
Life’s too short to live with neck dive
The Rascal with the big body has no discernable neck dive. I have a Player Mustang in the PJ configuration and it has no neck dive either.
Now I’m worried about the Squire on order…
Hipshot Ultra-Lite tuners would fix a lot of the neck dive.
But that bass sports a big ol’ Fender headstock, which contributes most to its off-balance-ness.
There’s always a Rickenbacker, EBMM, Aerodyne, Peavey T-40, SBV… no worries man, plenty of GAS left in your tank.
I enjoyed the sound of your TMB 30 myself.
The looks of it were also killer!
Well it seems good ole Sammy Ash has sent me a $50 promotional gift card that expires in 10 days. I might have to bend my rule on completing the 50 songs challenge before the next bass purchase.
Just don’t play it until you’re done
Help me !!! I’m gasing x 2
I was in UK for work and happened to stay 10min away from Anderton …
I went there and before moving to GAS
This place is GREAT , staff has been AMAZING. This place is a must visit…. But it ignited the GAS guy in me
I have tried the Sire short scale U5 … it is sooo much fun !!! It makes everything looks easy and the aesthetics are just great … I was very close to make a small mistake (it is such a great instrument)
As I already bought a Fender Jazz this year I decided not to go down that path …
So I went into pedals and tried the oc5 … so much fun ! I didn’t buy it but decided to start my pedal board leveraging their budget YouTube video
just bought the cheapest one today but my Xmas list is now ready !!!
