Aaaaaaaaand package arrived, GAS escalation maxed for this week:
Let’s start to experiment (never had compressor and/or chorus before):
They go through my NUX Melvin Lee Davis preamp into headphones, initially without cab simulation; if finding the best (to my ears) combo then will try through amp and Ashdown 112 cab (but limited volume due to neighbors).
Hope I’ll have time during the weekend. Also curious the difference between the J and P basses (both Squier 40th Anniversary versions) how they behave/react with same settings.

Well - perfect toy to spend lots of time with (already put ~1 hour into them 
) but still not too expensive; the dual function (chorus/filter-fuzz) HB pedal was ~41EUR, compressor ~29 only. Soooooo - I’m kinda happy guy now

Teenage Engineering makes some incredible…if not quirky stuff. I’ve got an OP-1 (pre-field version) and it’s an amazing device. My only complaint is that they sometimes seem to prioritize quirky over usable but still. So much fun.

Fender is running a sale and I’m eyeing the Aerodyne jazz basses and wondering if anyone can weigh in on them. Is this a no brainer? Should I be smashing that buy button now?

@John_E, I think, is our resident Aerodyne expert.
That said, I have the black P/J Aerodyne and it is great. It looks like the Fender sale is $550 off? That’s a screaming deal.

I was able to try one of the jazz in the store, and it was a great bass. It wasnt much different than my MIA Fender Jazz, but a little more modern looking. I think with the sale it is a great deal on a MIJ if you are looking for that sort of thing.

Did you get to see all the colors? I know it’s subjective but were there any that stood out for better or worse than the others? I know pictures online can sometimes be misleading and I don’t have a retailer close enough to go look at personally.

I’ve seen many in person and they were all gorgeous. Probably the best looking Fender product.
