Is that the black one you posted in another thread? I have the HH and it has been all I am playing lately. The E goes BOOM!

Thanks, man. I love the looks with the dark Pau Ferro fingerboard.

Ha ha yes! I guess no teaser after all! :grinning:
I’ve been wanting one of these for a while, particularly with black hardware and Ebony fretboard. This one has been discontinued so glad to have gotten it before they become too hard to find.

Yes that Poa Ferro looks really nice and chocolately dark!

Very nice. I’ve banned myself from using the Sandberg configurator website until I’ve achieved a few more bass specific goals.

But yeah they make a fantastic bass.

Yes, mine is the same with the Ebony. I have no idea why they discontinued that one. I bought my 2019 used, but was going to go with the chrome sparkle when I was looking at new just because of the ebony. Great bass, I hope you like yours.

Thanks, I’m stoked, big time

Been shopping for a P that has the neck and specs I want for a while now. Sandberg nailed it.

Thanks! I contemplated the chrome sparkle as well just for the ebony but I’m glad I waited.

That is a great looking bass, let us know how you like it.

@MikeC, a Sandberg VM4 in this same color combo is in my Bass bucket list. Maybe next year.

Thanks, @AnotherJosh. The Sandberg will fill the P tone bill. A great addition to my mini-arsenal.

Congratulations @wheelcowboy! Nice looking Ultra! How do you like it so far?

It doesn’t play much different than my Deluxe, which is my favorite because it just seems to work best for my hands, but has some upgrades over the Deluxe (and Elite which is in between the 2) like the strings no longer go through the body but behind the saddle as with most basses and the battery compartments (yes, it requires 2) no longer need to be screwed open and closed but is a click system. A huge time and hassle saver.
2 very useful features given that my hands aren’t always in a cooperative mood.
I can get a good P style sound out of both versions as well with the right settings on bass and amp (Fender Rumble 100).

This is the Ultra I have my eye on for end of next month:

The only reason that I can afford both these basses so close together is courtesy of a law suit against youth “protective” services that I don’t wanna get into details off (it’s not like in the States where you get 100,000’s to millions but the pay out is enough to get me a bass, some other much needed things and gets me well over half way to the Arctic Ultra).

Good deal! Oly white with tort is my favorable color combo.
I’ve never had an 18v before, I’ve heard it’s supposed to give you a lot more headroom (whatever that means in a bass context).
I love the look of the pearl block inlays on rosewood.

I have an 18V EBMM HH LMNOP
I have no idea what all the headroom is about in my basement. Ceiling is still as low as it always was.
