If you see this a little over a year later – how has it been? I have the Headrush Pedalboard (largest size previous gen without the Mic input) and it is awesome but very large and heavy. I also mainly play bass but occasionally whip out an acoustic or electric guitar. I leave my pedalboard at home because it is too big. I am also our sound guy so I have to lug around dozens of cables, a digital mixer, PA system with subwoofer, etc. I am going to upgrade to the Core so that I can throw it in my large gear bag at only 8 pounds.

Which rigs are you using for bass?
I have the headeush prime, at first I thought it’s great that you have so many possibilities, but at some point I started to hate it. I spent more time trying to get a good sound than playing bass… Now it’s in a box behind the TV.

@BozzerWolf If I were you I would get the new MacBook Air, a good (JBL) PA and either TH-U, Amplitube or BIAS F/X. And something like Reaper.
It’s simple to use (many presets) … and sounds really great!

I’ve got the M4 Mini and I ordered the scarlet interface. Maybe I get the Bias, for now I wanted to try GarageBand. I managed to connect the bass through the iRig and now I just have to figure out how to add backtracks…

I was going to pick a mini a few months ago, then Elon Musk started firing all of us civil servants so I’m holding off on putting a charge on my apple card till they simmer down, tariffs be damned. I should be safe for a few reasons. Now that the M4 Studio’s are out, I’m really looking hard at that. Is it more computer than I need? Yes. Yes it is. But how I configured the mini I was going to buy, it’s only another couple of hundred dollars with a bunch more RAM.

I would love a studio but couldn’t justify it, and I’m a professional iOS developer. The minis are simply really good.
I might get a studio next time but my M2 Pro Mini is awesome.

Thing is, I was configuring it with the M4 pro. For a few hundred more, I can get another 8GB RAM and 2.5X more GPU cores. It’s a decision I’ll waffle on till they’re done announcing the RIF plans and sending out the pink slips.

I looked at that too. There was a great reason for the 414, can’t remember.
And if you wanna go for the 414, than you should look at the PreSonus Quantum ES4. It’s great!!!
I actually thought about ordering the quantum es2, it looks much better😅 …but I thought this time I buy the one with the more positive reviews and not the one that looks better.
I want something simple to use, but if you like the presonus maybe I order it and cancel the scarlet. ( I’ve oredered a new bass too🫣 that is available next week so I have enough time to change my order tomorrow)

But why buy something good when you can get something better for more money?
