I just turned on the tubescreamer to get a little bit of the overdriven tube sound. I keep the drive pretty low (25% or so). I don’t need it though, it doesn’t seem to do the thing I’m using it for.
For the chorus, I’m guessing by the sound of it to go with depth all the way up, rate all the way down? I’m not sure on reverb, I kind of want to use plate with the predelay all the way down, or go with a room reverb? Spring is just inherently too ambient for this, it needs to have a coldness to the reverb.
I love it too, I was playing around with it and my new Keeley Parallax last night and that’s sure a combo. I bought the parallax mostly for the soft focus setting (based on the old Yamaha rack mount that Slowdive used on Souvflaki). I grabbed a second hand electric mistress with it, and I love the flange with the 2 reverbs. For the time being though, it’s all going through my GX-10. I don’t have room on my desk for all the pedals anymore so they’re all put away until I pick up a pedalboard this week. I’m bouncing between chorus with the rate set to 3, just there’s something to it or flanger set pretty much the same way.
Hooky was Chorus (specificaly the Electro-Harmonix Small Clone, one reason I like the EHX Bass Clone so much - it’s a Small Clone with a Crossover added).
