Here’s a video that runs in France, so presumably in Germany as well. What a bass line!!!

You’re home in Denmark, aren’t you, Jörg?

I guess I could invoke a VPN ![]()
Did the last posted link not work for you?
Not @booker_t ‘s link, but I understand now what the song was ![]()
I meant the link posted by @TheMaartian. It’s just a few posts above this one. ![]()
Ah, sorry, I was on the move and didn’t pay attention ![]()
Yeah I have a VPN that I use for this kind of thing. It’s mostly off but only takes second to open it and view whatever it is that was blocked. I also use it to access UK stuff when I’m abroad in the same way.
Rip Tony. You’ll be missed.
(no one died)
This is a tribute post, perhaps I could have placed it in the “What Are You Listening” thread…
Five years ago today Jerry Jeff Walker passed away. Ironically, today’s date hearkens in name and connotation to his 1969 album release “Five Years Gone.”
One of the more notable songs that he wrote, covered by many, is Mr. Bojangles. Perhaps the more well known version is by The Nitty Gritty Dirt band, but few perhaps know that it was Walker who wrote it. I post it below as well as one of my favorites by Jerry.
fuuuuuck. This totally sucks. Those pics are terrible, this is how I remember him (on the right, Marc Almond on the left):
Tainted Love was one of the first songs I learned.
Sad ![]()
i had you pegged as a fan when i posted it.
Yeah big fan of both of those guys.
And So Young - I Definitely Remember Playing That Extended Album Over And Over - Tainted Love Was My Hip Cantina Scene Of Star Wars
RIP Dave
I also learned it some months ago. And I love that song. If there’s one song that makes me wanna dance immediately, then it’s Tainted Love. ![]()
Not a good time of the year…
Jack DeJohnette was a very unique drummer.
RIP
i cannot say because i am hardly a voice of authority on jazz, but he seemed to be damn well respected. and of course if you’re on an jazz album that even I know that speaks for itself.
