One of the reason I will be replacing the neck with a Warmouth.
Also, want to put gold frets and don’t want to do that on a neck I don’t love up down and sideways. Will actually put a jazz neck on it instead as I seem to be more drawn to them over Ps.
Thats cuz it was replaced with a Jazz neck as stated in his intro.
Thats how tge discussion got started when I told him he was lucky to get one with a jazz neck and wont have to deal with the hidden adjustment screw.
But dont let looks fool you either, mine actually looks like tgere is an opening at tge headstock when in fact its not, its hidden by the body.
Now that’s just trolling.
Welcome @420bpm !
Yeah by the photo it looks to be in the head stock but I’ll know hopefully by this Friday for sure. @T_dub, I am NOT doubting you but It seems really silly that Fender would put a faux hole in the head stock just to look like it has a truss rod adjustment there. The only reason I can imagine they’d do that is to keep look of the original but it just seems silly; no?
Thanks
Yes, very silly
But
Thats just a plug, and even if its a plug, they could have used tge same color wood.
Actually, I sm sure it is a plug, but looks from afar can be deceiving.
Pribably hard to match grains from same wood and looks better this way is the reason why.
man seriously
I would have returned it, and I’m not even joking. That’s straight up trolling ![]()
That is not he Road Worn 50’s P Bass. The Recreation.
Hey @John_E , Is there a discolored plug in the headstock of your 50’s P Vintera ?
Indeed there is, but not so sure it’s a plug.
I thought it was just paint.
Hows it going fellow bassists and musicians, i was directed here to introduce myself. My name is Jake, i was introduced to the bass when i was about 13. It wasnt until i was 18 that i really got into playing. My first band was some of my dads old friends and bandmates, we played ccr and steve miller type stuff. I soon moved to a metal hard rock band and did shows at least 2 or 3 times a week. I played regularly until i was about 27. After my wife had our first son i had to work more and focus more on supporting our new family. I for the most part didnt touch a bass again form about 4 or 5 years. I recently got back into practicing daily and got a new amp and a few bass guitars. I was never an amazing bassist but i could definilty jam or play with anyone and hold a groove. I decided i wanted to work on my slap tecnique and other styles from watching josh and dabie504 along with james and scott. Auto played videos reignited my desire to improve and learn more. Ive debated buying any courses or lessons, but i think im going to give the b2b a try. If nothing else from what i hear it should be at the very least an awesome refresher and a means to improving. Thank you all who read this for your time and support.

Glad you are here @Jdfletcher4588 !
….you’ll fit right in here!
B2B is a great course, you might find the beginning a bit slow with your experience, or, a good refresher. Either way it’s the most solid foundation presented the best out there.
Welcome @Jdfletcher4588 !
Welcome back. We missed you!
Welcome, Greg! Glad you won’t be
bored while you’re onboard (pun intended!).
Hello everyone. I am an absolute novice. No musical bones, never played an instrument, can’t read music…but excited to learn just for my own enjoyment. A musician friend loaned me an acoustic bass a few months ago to get me started. With the acoustic in hand and YouTube on the tv, I started trying to learn. I quickly discovered Josh’s videos and decided to go full bore. I bought an used Ibanez SR370E and a Fender Rumble 25 amp about a month ago. I finally bought the B2B course last week. Super pumped to learn how to actually play. This weekend I will be returning the Ibanez to exchange it for a new Yamaha TRBX340. Excited to connect with the community and get playing!
