Yep.
When I had enough free time my schedule was to first play bass until my fingers and/or hands are not cooperating anymore and then practice singing whithout straining my voice too much and then back to playing bass because my fingers recovered (a little) and who are those fingers to keep me from playing bass?

Enjoy the ride! While I completely understand the goal to do the course in the “Hardcore” schedule I would not make it a hard, unmovable goal. Especially in the first few modules I thought it easily achievable but by the time I got closer to the finish line I took more and more time for the lessons to get them right and it was worth it

Made it to chugging and string crossing! Still got to play the last 2 mods to get better!

Outstanding @Irathrain

My advice is to slow down. I remember becoming all excited when string crossing and wanted to rip through and learn more. That mindset only created sloppy bad habits. Unfortunately I did not realize it in real time. Now, accuracy and clean notes are taking priority these days.

Looking forward to hearing more,
Cheers

I agree in general, but also have to add (and I think even Josh mentions it in one of the lessons) that as a complete beginner, you should not try to make every workout sound absolutely perfect before moving on. Some of them are going to sound crap, and there’s not much you can do about that at such an early stage.

Yes, I do remember that comment by Josh there @akos

That was my attitude on my flying magic carpet ride through the course for the first time. I allowed the sloppy play to be OK and not fretting properly to be acceptable. Now, stingy with my practicing.

Where did that arrive from?? I was messing around with a Banjo and Guitar player and I could clearly hear when I missed the sweet spot on the fret. Now, they giggled at their own mistakes as well. Overtime, I picked up my tempo or added a two or three note fill, could hear the sloppiness come into play.

Stepping back in time, my first attempt at Becoming A Bad A$$, I missed a lot because I rushed through. Always looking for that rainbow I guess.

Today, addressing Module 11 again and having a blast. Johnny Cash and Bossa Nova action. So much fun and rather simply bars this trip around. The confidence is growing. I feel as if I am playing along with Josh instead of playing catch up this time through the course. So Thats Cool

Be Well & Stay Strong,
Cheers
