Yeah this is a good way to look at it I think. Music is not a competition and such comparative perfectionism sucks the joy out of any craft for me. Not saying it’s wrong to look at it as a race with oneself against the clock; whatever works for you, etc. I’m just glad I don’t see it that way myself. True Dat! I like the 500 hours method though.
