I heard back from Lanny who says he speaks with Brian frequently. He tells me that Brian hasnāt been playing bass lately, but instead has been playing pipes, and is heavily involved in a local piper group.
At least we know heās okay.
I honestly think we as a group need to have a centralized place for phone numbers, for those willing to allow it. When someone goes missing, we could at least make a call to check on them. I know I would be willing to give my number just in case. Rather than worry about members well-being, we would be able to verify that they are indeed doing well or whatever the case may be. God forbid, if something happened to a member, we would have no way of knowing.
Thatās a good idea, but I think it might be difficult to manage. An email from Josh or someone who has access to the database might work too.
Is there a way to make an accessible file for everyone that can be stored here in the forum?
I was the owner/administrator of a little mountain bike website f88me. What we did was allow two or three of the 100% regulars to make a list of all members that wanted to be included. If something happened to one of the regulars with the lists, another one would have access. I made myself, my super moderator and another moderator as holders of the list. It worked out well and when members would go absent, we would check on them. We could ask for voluntary numbers to be given to one or two regular members. These members would need to be regular contributors, not members that appear once or twice and disappear. But someone that checks in frequently. And we could vote on āKeepers of the Listsā if you guys wanted to. Just something to think about.
Well I donāt know if that qualifies as āokā
, but good to hear nothing is wrong.
Not sure Iād qualify someone starting to play the bagpipes as ānothing is wrongā

Iāve just āspoken ā to him and instructed him to fill in the correct forms for a requested sabbatical in future @PamPurrs
Tell him to come post a pipes video, kilt and all!

I donāt think Iāve seen @Celticstar for a month or two, has anyone else?
Nope. And I miss him.
@Never2Late @MikeC
Nice to know someone is thinking of me guys, and gals. Thank you.
Iām still around but just felt that I had nothing significant to say.
I still check in from time to time but do not spend two to three hours, or more, every day on the forum like I used to.
Please consider coming back, @Celticstar. You have a lot to share.
Nice to hear from you @Celticstar!
Hey, @Celticstar, you have much more experience than I, and I chip in too often and with too much of not enough to say!
So yes, please consider chipping in, even if just a bit. Or - take a break if you need to! Whatever is good for you. Glad to hear from you in any case.
Heeeeey, waitaminute. Dunno how this got past me. I grew up playing accordion. Just before starting BassBuzz, when I committed to learning bass and becoming a functional bassist, I could have easily gone with accordion and was looking up accordion programs similar to BassBuzz.
ā¦yes, theyāre out there. ![]()
Anyway. Iāll just leave you with these:
