Mike is indeed a nice man. He might be taking a break, hopefully he’ll be back soon. Lots of stuff going on in Austin right now too (including ACL in a couple weeks).

Yeah things have been a bit rough here in all honesty. Had to put one of our horses down on Christmas morning which was a bit heartbreaking to be honest. She was a beautiful girl.

On a happier note I have purchased another bass . Just a really basic Ibanez but it’s fun to play.

I’m fine @Barney, hope you are too! Haven’t been too active on the forum lately. I recently joined a band, so instead of reading and writing about playing bass, I’m actually playing bass in my spare time Will find an appropriate thread and write about it one of these days.

Life got stressful for a bit, then I had some kind of mental block when it came to picking up the bass (though I thankfully rekindled some other creative avenues).

But I played for the first time in a while the other week and really want to get back into the rhythm. And this is the additional nudge I need
