New passive Stingray?

Yeah it’s a bit more mid stocked at center detent than the EBMM but essentially the same tone and close your eyes it feels darn close too.

My Ray34 has the three band pre-amp. I think all the new ones do (I may be wrong)

I just love my MusicMan what can I say. If you ever come across a music man version of a p bass and it’s within your budget, grab it.

Yes, Sterling is an exceptional clone by EBMM. Very high quality.

Funny enough, I had already seen this video but found the volume incredibly low.

Made it seemed like it was severely underpowered if that make sense?

To me, hard to tell if that’s the video, the bass, or something else. There’s so many places you can adjust volume/gain.

Exactly!

I saw the video and was like: uhhh is that it?

I really think it was mic’d poorly.

I’ve seen this!

Sounds great honestly. It interesting that just having that pickup closer to the bridge helps it retain that MM growl that they’re so well known for.

This is the colour I’m leaning towards!

I’ve recently come to realise how nice slap sounds on a jazz bass. Depends what you’re playing I guess. I have eclectic taste in the music I listen to, so I expect I’ll be the same with playing. That’s just a perfect excuse for neeeeding another bass though, right?
