Not a P-bass pickup

Not really bass related but some of you might be amused. I’m building a steampunk guitar with the pickup mounted on a slide ruler for moving it anywhere between the bridge and neck positions. I noticed that one of the small single coils in my stockpile was wound reverse of the rest so I made a P-bass style hum-cancelling pickup…

Thanks @ctthayer. This project as taken several forks in the road since I started it. The most recent being a change from regular 6-string to lap steel. I’ve been working in Seattle for the last few weeks but the last time I was home I built a homemade B-bender for it. Next time I’m home, hopefully next weekend, I’ll get the electronics installed. Then after that, the diorama and internal lighting done.

Here’s the B-bender:

It bends notes on the B string up a whole step, giving chords a country-ish pedal steel sound.
