Bit of an update, if anyone’s interested:
The beat up old Cort was sold to someone else the day after my original post.
Looked at more second hand ones, went to a few music stores and played a variety of new ones. Ended up ordering a brand new bass. Unfortunately stock in Australia is very limited; the estimated ship date is March

Not sure where you are in Oz but been seeing a range of Corts for sale in Brisbane and Gold Coast. With the shortage of supply still the prices seem a bit steep ( story here in Australia with most things) but might get some bargaining in.

I’m in Perth, but supply sounds similar here. Managed to get a very good deal on a Yamaha TRBX605 so I’m ok with waiting

Cant go wrong with yhe Yammy either. Very nice. Ah WA!!! Not my favourite Premier…8 months of not being able to get to work just been extended again.
