Everyone here that has had one has loved it. @itsratso has one IIRC.

I have the Ibanez Micro as my first bass and still have to this day. I really like it and use it when I am playing on the porch. Very lightweight and easy on the back.

Huge fun. I have a 4 string and a 5 string. I used them both a lot at first, but now tend to grab the full size basses.

yes I do. I love it so much I modded it, and spent more on the upgrades than on the bass

Short Love

So the work on junior (ibby mikro) is finished. I did it mostly because the stock pickups can be quite noisy, but he also looks better in black methinks. Pickups are the geezer emgs, bridge is hipshot type A, tuners are mini gotohs, and some miscellaneous black metal knobs. Nothing like spending more on parts than the bass costs All work done by tommys guitars in chicago who have always treated me right. Sounds great, seems to be dead quiet👍 edit: btw the build was based on this youtube…

as for what to be aware of, they are totally a blast to play and the pickups tend to be noisy.

Like noisy as in the general sound is loud or a loud hum?

hum. it’s been a long time but I don’t remember the stock pickups as having a ton of output, but they weren’t soft either. all this being said, I did like the sound of the stock bass and I think most people agree. it definitely isn’t a “you have to change it” situation. there’s a bunch of reviews/demos on the youztoobs of the sound.
