P bass for rock, passive, active or doesn't matter

I thought for a while that i was finding that the active basses made things like tapping and slapping easier, but I have learned I was wrong.

So many factors in what makes these styles easier.
Ring-i-ness of strings, frets, pickups in general, etc.
My new passive P (soon to be active but not yet) does a great job at these already.
Myth busted.
One thing is for certain, these styles lend themselves to rounds IMO at least.

I like passive but active is more punchy for sure. I like being minimalist and not have to worry about batteries lol
