There are ways to personalize your instruments and not involve adding decals. But if you want to you can customize your headstock by adding the custom order water slide decal.
Other ways is to get the theme going. Here’s some of mine, this is lasered.
I think stickers and different pups/tuners/etc are a bit easier to undo vs redoing the finish. I haven’t myself, but I could see where I might depending on the bass. If it’s something that I would consider reselling and it has more value in original condition, then probably not. If it’s something that really only has value to me or I never plan on selling, sure. I had to think long and hard about drilling new holes for a different bridge for my p-bass.
Every time I build one I take it on my gig, some guy would make me an offer, the one in that picture was the second one. I made total of 4. The first one was the first edition SH neck that was thicker, I wish I didn’t let that one go. This last one was fun too with the gold hardware
Most hated team for some silly game people that dislike using their arms play over in the old world. Kind of like Lawn Hockey but without the good parts.
He was doing meet and greets after the British Lion shows in 2020! I saw all 4 Florida shows and got to meet him all 4 times! He seemed like a great humble guy!
I want to! I want to get some vinyl stickers made of letters that spell HUSTLER and put them on the lower bout, and I want to make a little yellow cravat for him to wear across the nut.
Because my inspiration for playing bass is my dear grandmother, the bass playing pool hustler (RIP) and my bass is named Captain Falcon.
Two of my basses are personalised with custom pick guards (I have the originals, so the basses can be returned to stock very easily).
Personally, I don’t like the sticker thing, although I do have them on a crappy bass that I take apart and put in a suitcase when I travel abroad. But that is only because that bass is already beaten up and someone epoxied a bloody wooden butterfly to it
