Philosophy: Is there an inner Nature of a tone/chord/key/music?

Music is like language, it’s like math. It has structure and rules and this isn’t something we created, rather it’s something we have discovered and learned about over many years. Music can change your mood, it can inspire, energize, it can be introspective, it can be harmful as well. There’s so much to unpack here I would just say to answer your question simply - yes. There’s something truly special about music.

As someone who may or may not have done an excessive amount of psychedelics in my younger years, I can’t say there’s a whole lot to be said there. Sure, music sounds different when you’re high off your ass, but is there any deeper meaning there or is it just that your brain is in a state where it is processing information in a wildly different way than your sober mind?

It has been shown that language has a strong effect on how we perceive our world. Different cultures see things differently based on their different languages.
