Even bigger brands take a few months of build time on top of lead time. The painting and drying alone, takes a month. Fender Mod Shop takes 2 months and they are not making any thing just assembled parts together. Worse their US Corona factory is just 20 minutes from me but it I want one that I order from their showroom I’d still have to wait like the everyone,

Laser engraving is surprisingly easy, all you need is access to a MakerSpace ( Find Makerspace Near Me - Makerspace Directory and 4 minutes to learn to put text into Adobe Illustrator. You don’t even have to get the neck in the right palce first time - stick some tape on the fret marker and set the laser power to the bottom setting, then see how it goes.

My Mayones custom build took 15 months from start to finish. Having to wait made it seem like a lot longer, though.

Yeah! my Kubicki was supposed to be ready for pickup last month but due to “difficult” unexpected situation it’s push back till further notice. I understand that it’s not too far off the Malibu fire we had a few months back.
