I’m not sure this exactly fits in the Post your Covers thread, but it seems to be the best place for it…
This idea of an Amazing Grace parody popped into my head earlier this year when the cancer pain was at its worst, and I was taking large doses of (prescribed) morphine. I ambled out of my recliner and hopped onto the computer and began composing. The words kept coming and I kept typing, and within 20 minutes I had 4 verses (I added the 5th verse at a later date).
The song reposed on my hard drive for most of 2022 while I only occasionally thought about what I was going to do with it. It wasn’t until the October B2B Live Hang when I heard Brian @TNKA36 play Amazing Grace on his bagpipes that I decided to get started on it. I invited Brian and @John_E to participate in the project, and they both jumped on board.
It’s just for fun; no critiquing required. Enjoy Amazing Bass
