excellent covers @Al1885 ! I really like your playing style, very relaxed and groovy
Wowsa @Al1885 - triple threat!
All really really great, very groovy all in different ways.
Never heard the second or third tune prior, loved them all.
Great playing and great tone.
This shows you can buy lots of basses and play well too, haha!
Good job. Great tone out of that bass.
Thank you @thomas
Thanks @Mac
Thanks @terb I try hard not to try hard, it’s straight out of my golf playbook, lol.
Thanks @John_E, it was fun. All the posters here definitely made it looks like fun so I thought why not?
I was watching your Zoom how to with @PamPurrs I was going to go that route but first I gotta sharpen my GarageBand and iMovie skills. Just got my M1 iPad Pro so I’m definitely going to explore the capabilities.
That was a great set of covers @Al1885 ! I listen to that style of music occasionally and the bass sounded great. Great playing as well!

Thanks @JerryP , I listen to most genres of music well not so much edm and hip hop mainly Becky the bass line is usually the afterthought and repetitive.
A year before Covid I bought a Roland drum set and I was way in to that until the lockdown. It’s funny the music I listen to for drums and basses are quite different altogether. Very few songs I’d love to do both cover for drums and bass together.
Yeah, I agree. I’ve played drums for about 4 years. Not sure if you like RHCP but I feel like, for me, that’s the type of music that appeals to both instruments. I’ve done a drum cover of Can’t Stop but the bass line for that is a bit tricky just ATM (lots of slappin’ and poppin’), I’ll work on it one day though.
Hey that’s some really nice playing @Al1885! Great job! Looking forward to the cool p bass next time!
Great job on all 3 @Al1885 ,
Very nice tone and relaxed playing,
Cheers Brian
This is by far my favorite Bjork song, even though it is a cover.
Originally sung by Betty Hutton in 1951.
This song is a blast to play as well.
Used the trusty Aerodyne with LaBella flats, double tracked through the B7K, one line out EQ’ed a bit and the other out the XLR using Forrester’s Thick to try to mimic the original upright.
*note - the noise/hum in the beginning is not from my bass, Bjork duplicated the background noise of the original, because, well, she’s Bjork.
Love it @John_E!! I love how you played it with such humour and passion. Love the nod to Bjork in the background. Love that Aerodyne - sounded spot on. Brilliant.

Thanks @Bassideebassbass
A few missed timings but close enough.
It’s hard to not smile at some point when you play this one.
Love that tune. You should play that you your ubass.
If you missed anything in that song, only you know it. That was great stuff.
My first attempt at a cover XD. Please be gentle…as I ‘know’ I messed up a few times…but I thought I’d share anyway, to get feedback :3
the harder step is to start ! congrats
I think you have a tuning issue or hit the wrong frets because it doesn’t sound in tune
Hey great job! I find it nearly impossible to play without a strong backbeat to work to. And may I say that bass looks pretty sweeet!
Thanks @ed, yeah, there was some counting going on in my head. Also didn’t help that this song alternates between 3/4 and 4/4.
