Thanks @John_E ! ![]()
Moises sounds like it could be worth checking out - I think itās free too⦠(at least at the start). Even if it cleanly takes out some of the bass itāll be worthwhile ![]()

Hell yeah @Lanny
Thanks ![]()
Unfortunately I donāt think I can use Garage band (PC owner) but Iāve heard some really good things about Transcribe! Maybe itās time for me to put my hand in my pocket and get some decent software⦠Iām going to check out moises anyway so I can do kind of a side-by-side comparison ā¦
Thanks man! Iāve been pretty much an exclusive pick player for a few weeks now and it looks like itās starting to pay off ![]()
Great cover @Ed . You definitely nailed it and some
Thanking you

Very nicely done @Ed ! Not familiar with the song but you were in the groove for sure.
PS: love the Rick!

Aloha everyone,
I wasnāt planning to do another Beatles cover, but there were a couple of things about the song that I wanted to try. The first was time signature changes. There are three time signatures (4/4, 5/4, 3/4) that change through out the song. The second was slides. Throw in a couple of triplets and a key change and I had to try this. When I researched the song, I found out that George played the bass on this ("Good Day Sunshine" by The Beatles. The in-depth story behind the songs of the Beatles. Recording History. Songwriting History. Song Structure and Style.) and he used a Nu-Sonic Bass (Nu-Sonic Bass Guitars London). Lastly, the entire song is played on the E string. Anyway, here is and of course comments and critiques encouraged.
Thanks @JerryP ! The ricks have their quirks but they are definitely hard to beat in this kind of genreā¦
And may I say a great cover too (as always!). Spot on choice with the bass (Ibanez SR300E?) and well done with the timing changes - anything other than 4/4 or 3/4 is really intimidating.
That Nu-Sonic bass is pretty damn sexy. I might well break my self-imposed bass purchase ban for it ![]()
Great job @JerryP Jerome!! Love the tone on that one
⦠Didnāt know that that one was played exclusively on the E string by George⦠Really cool work on the timing and the triplets⦠You made it look easy!!
Great work, Jerry @JerryP . . .
I didnāt know the whole song was played on the E string either, @Lanny !
Cheers
joe
Gooood job Jerry
Gooood job Jerry
Goooooooood joooooob Jerrrrrry
Love it @JerryP
Thank you @Ed !
Ibanez SR400EQM
Thanks @Lanny Lanny⦠and please itās Jerry. Jerome is what the nuns called me.
I got the transcription from Constantine and the entire song was the E string. Kinda makes sense because of all the slides. Yeah, triplets still give me some anxiety.
Thanks again!
Thanks @Jazzbass19 Joe!
Thank you @John_E ! Much appreciated!
Great Ibanez, looks and sounds awesome. Of course I am biased
Well invested fluids, pal! Bass is rad, really love the sound and great playing all around.
Amazing cover @JerryP. You mastered the signature changes, the slides AND the nasty triplets. Great bass sound too. Badass level!
Thank you @thomas !
I was surprised at myself how I had to concentrate NOT to play 4/4 when it changed to 5/4 or 3/4. I always try to learn something with each cover.
That"s why I love this thread⦠Learningā by Doināā¦
