Thanks folksā€¦hardest part of recording this was counting off the drumroll.

Very cool @Old_WannaBe .
That style of bass line is a lot more difficult than they appear

Thank you @Jazzbass19 , @Lanny Lanny , @JDDaniel , @John_E , @TNKA36 Brian, @Mac ! and @Vince !

Yeah, me too. Of course I had some help with the Zoom B1 Four. I had it on the Motown sim (patch 42) for the tone I was looking for.

Iā€™m going to try to find something harder, but I subscribe to the teachings of that great philosopher Dirty Harry: ā€œA manā€™s got to know his limitations.ā€
Thank you all for the kind words and encouragement.

We all are only limited by our own patience.
I have spent months on a single song refusing to let it kick my ass.
Alternatively, I have ā€˜given upā€™ on songs because I simply donā€™t care enough to put the time and patience in to nail it.
I believe we all can play anything, all it takes is time and practice.
Iā€™ve been trying to nail ā€œI Want You Backā€ for the better part of a year.
Why havenā€™t I got it - patience- I give up.
@Barney - how long did that song take you.

@JerryP - you can play anything you want, this I know.

Thanks for the encouragement, John!

They all seem to take a while, but if you mean ā€˜I want you back by The Jackson 5ā€™? Then the answer is 3 hrs a night for 6 weeks. Lol

Finding something harder should not be a problem. Remember running into Billie Jean when you did the B2B course :joy: :joy: :joy:

As far as limitations are concerned, I think @John_E has the right idea. How badly do you really want to be able to play a particular song and are you willing to invest the time and effort. :slightly_smiling_face:

We are our own worst critics.

Sounds about the same time frame it took me to get Arlo Guthries City of New Orleans down for a solo performance on Acoustic Guitar. My problem is that I keep adding additional flourishes into the mix and this is not necessarily a good thing. :slightly_smiling_face:
