My California TT4 Superlight. The local dealer took these nice pictures of it, once it reached their shop. Paulownia body, maple neck, birdseye maple fingerboard:
Very nice.
This is the ‘Ladyhawk’ (my name). She is a California VM4, has an Ash Body, Maple neck with Ebony Fretboard and Reverse Headstock. Delano Split pickup and humbucker.
Great thread and beautiful bass @thomas - I also love the TT4s and yours is a beauty @sfadams
Beautiful!
For me natural wood is the only color/finish that can compete with black. It might be my choice for a J-Bass or 5-string to come.
Is your bass chambered? What is its weight?
Congrats @Bassdacious Nice name! This girl is … huuh… really hot! Have you checked how old the lady is?
I turned Sandberg catalogues and German websites upside down, but no word on basses with reverse headstock. It’s not an option in the Sandberg configurator, got to be a one-of-a-kind custom bass.
Thanks. Not chambered. The bass weighs 6 lbs (2.75 kg). Even less than my short-scale. It truly is ‘super-light’!
Yeah, according to the serial number records she is a 2020. I’ll get some more info from the dealer. They had this and the exact same in a 5 string available - one of each. They may have custom ordered but I’ll find out more on the history.
That fretboard is really beautiful. You’re a lefty? Did the dealer get it in for you?
Yes, yes and yes.
Makes me think that I really should change the strings
Beeeeooootiful!
What a looker, do you love her as much today as you did back then?
- that gold!
Ohhhhh! I like this one!
Technically, it’s “copper” - at least, that is what Sandberg calls it
What a beauty!! Congrats! Love that coloration. Black headstock, ebony fretboard. Is this a Nighthawk? Thought they were strictly all-black.
